Cooking Tips & Nutritional Information
TIPS: The longer a mushroom cooks the firmer it will become.
SAUTED MUSHROOMS: Make sure your mushrooms are dry or the water will splatter in the hot oil. Use a large flat skillet to keep mushrooms cooking on high heat and avoid steaming. Mushrooms taste best when they are sauted in lots of butter.
ROASTING MUSHROOMS: Toss mushrooms in olive oil (or grapeseed oil), season with salt, pepper and herbs of your choice, then bake at 400 degrees F. Do not cover.
GRILLING MUSHROOMS: Heat your grill or BBQ. Use the same cooking instructions as roasting. Place mushrooms directly on grill or on skewers. To avoid burning, cook them 2 inches from the heat source for about 2-3 minutes.
